The mantra "Live the life you love" has been my guiding light for years. But why is it so deeply etched in my soul?
At 16, I survived a near-fatal car accident, which ignited a determination to make the most of every moment. But it was the loss of my dear mother at 24 that truly shifted my perspective, leading me on a quest for meaning and purpose in life. Through grief and healing, I discovered yoga, finding balance and inner peace amidst life's challenges.
Following my heart became my calling, which led me from Amsterdam to the Spanish mountains where I co-created a Vegan Eco Lodge with my partner. Here in the peaceful mountains, I truly came home: connected with my heart, sharing my gifts and passions.
After giving birth to our daughter Saoirse, my life journey continued to Costa Rica, to live amongst like-minded families in nature's abundance. Here, surrounded by the lush tropics, I feel called to inspire, support, and guide others on their journey within. To let their soul shine! And create from their heart.

For the past decade, I have been living the life I love, embracing both the beauty and challenges that come with following my heart. For me, there is no other way. I believe we are all meant to be happy and to engage in activities that light us up from within. I feel called to inspire and empower others to follow their soul's calling.
Motherhood from the heart (2020 - Now)
Our daughter Saoirse, the embodiment of pure love, entered our lives as our greatest creation. Her birth marked a profound shift in our journey of following our hearts. Immersed in the beauty of natural birth and parenting, I felt compelled to share our experiences on anahatamamas.com. My aim is to inspire (future) parents to trust their instincts and embrace the transformative journey of motherhood.
Casa Tarsan Vegan Eco Lodge, Spain (2017 - 2022)
In the mountains of Spain, my partner and I embarked on our first passion project. Together, we transformed our home into a self-sufficient Vegan Eco Lodge. Here, we welcomed our guests with our shared passions: delicious Vegan cuisine crafted by Eric and holistic sessions of Yin Yoga and Reiki led by me. Our aim was simple: to provide a sanctuary where guests, often burdened by stress, could return home feeling completely rejuvenated, connected with themselves and nature.
